The chilling reality here is that these numbers only represent a fraction of the global population. These numbers aren’t generated from a country with low standards within healthcare. They are generated from one of the most influential countries in medical history. In a speech about national health care, Senator Bernie Sanders said: "The tragedy that we're talking about here is deaths taking place that should not be taking place,". Unfortunately that is the reality we live in. People are dying because the overall quality in global health care is not what it should be. According to the World health organization quality health care means that the organization is: - effective, delivering health care that is adherent to an evidence base and results in improved health outcomes for individuals and communities, based on need. - efficient - accessible - acceptable/patient-centred, delivering health care which takes into account the preferences and aspirations of individual service users and the cultures of their communities. - equitable If you’ve taken the time to read what our concept, neohealth, and E.A.Q is all about you might recognize the quality health care WHO so elegantly describes.
